Here in Alaska, we're deep in winter, but I want to share a video from last summer. If you're feeling stuck as the new year approaches this is for you.
It's my first video (ever) so it's rough, but the message is there.
Fishing in Alaska is akin to grocery shopping. Catching and processing 30+ large red salmon is a cool adventure, but it's also labor intensive - and it takes skill.
One of the skills is how to get your hook unstuck when it catches on the rocks (or snags). It's not if, it's when.
I talk about my technique for working snags in fishing and in life. I hope you enjoy it.
